EQUILIBRIUM INTERTRADE CORPORATION’s (EQ) history is quite an interesting story of how an entrepreneur’s passion and love for coffee created a now diversified company from its’ humble beginnings in the specialty coffee trade.

In the year 1998, the local coffee business was already a big hit among the Filipinos, but there was yet a huge potential to develop interesting and innovative coffee recipes. EQ was then the official distributor of Torani flavored syrups and sauces – these products became a perfect partner for creating specialty coffee beverage concoctions.

After seeing its performance in the coffee market, EQ embarked on an ambitious quest in partnering with other high quality products from different parts of the world. It was in the year 2004 when Caffe Mauro became the official coffee partner of the company. This was followed a year after by Rancilio Italian Espresso Machines. From only three employees, EQ now has a total of 80 employees with seven (7) branches nationwide. The growth of the company can only be attributed to the passion of its management and staff. More so, the incredible market acceptance of its product brands created a leading presence for the company. It prides itself for being the distributor of other high quality products such as: Dilmah 100% Ceylon teas, Mocafe flavored powders, Arizona Ready to Drink teas to name a few. The company’s market base has increased tremendously as well from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
