In 1995, a group of Filipino, Japanese and Singaporean businessmen founded LIONAPEX EQUIPMENT (PHIL.), INC. in order to engage in the distribution of CNC machine tools and allied products/services to the then fledging hard disk drive manufacturing industry of the Philippines. The initiative introduced micron-level machining technologies which are fundamental to producing high precision components for 3.5" and 2.5" HDD products, as well as the mass production of automotive and various electronics parts, mainly for export.

In early 2000, the company moved into the design, assembly and test of automation solutions for the electronics industry, eventually focusing on electro-mechanical design and robotic controls programming. These led to the establishment in 2005 of the Lionapex Design Center which underpins our thrust into the limitless field of software development.
